Ultimate Dollar Tree Bargains for Budget-Savvy Shoppers!
Have you ever been to Dollar Tree? I just love it there! For those who don’t know, Dollar Tree is a store where everything is a dollar or sometimes less. I try not to go unless I need something. It is easy to drop $20 even though everything is only a dollar. But some prices can’t be beaten! Here are a few of my favorite bargains to buy at Dollar Tree!
Party Supplies
Paper plates, napkins, cups, plastic forks, knives, and spoons in all colors are excellent bargains to buy at Dollar Tree. This is the best place to pick these up. The prices are the best. Many times, they also have plastic serving bowls and platters. They even carry plastic wine and champagne glasses.
Child Child-themed Party Supplies
I have seen everything from generic pirate and princess themes to Barbie and Spiderman. And when you are on a budget, why spend all your money on paper cups? There are enough small trinkets to fill those loot bags, too!!
Cards
You cannot compare Dollar Tree cards to any place else. Seriously. The only way you can give a card to Aunt Peggy any cheaper is to make it yourself with printer paper and your kid’s crayons! All my cards come from Dollar Tree. With prices at a dollar each or even TWO FOR A DOLLAR, why would you spend $4 (or more) at Target? You know I love me some Target, but you also know I am tighter than bark to a tree!!
Cleaning Gadgets
My husband loves their “scrubbies.” They are those round metal pot scrubbers that are fantastic for cleaning burnt-on peppers and onions in a cast iron skillet that my husband scorched while cooking them outside on the grill. It took DAYS to get that pan clean. But hey, it didn’t heat up the kitchen, so win!!! I also buy all my scrub brushes there. Anything I need to wash dishes or scrub a floor, I get it from DT!
Cleaning Supplies
As I am not a chemical cleaning supply person, they have a massive section of cleaning supplies. For me, old-fashioned baking soda and white vinegar are also a great price at Dollar Tree! Add some reusable clothes, and you are my kind of cleaner!!
Organizing Containers
I love organizing containers! Each season, Dollar Tree brings out new colors. If you find a specific color, snag more than you think you need because you never know if that color will disappear. You can always return them. Just double-check your store’s return policy first. They also often have a beautiful collection of clear acrylic drawer organizers. I found almost an exact match to the organizer in my utility drawer for a LOT less than I bought it.
Purse Size Tissues
I know. Yes, I said purse-size tissues. I am a fan of those small travel-size pouches of tissues. And I am not beneath Frozen or Spiderman-themed ones, either. Sometimes, they have a ten-pack for a dollar. Those are the BEST! And it doesn’t matter if it is that cute cartoon girl who wants to be a vet!!
Toiletries
I also like to grab flossers and dental floss, too. It’s always a good price.
Some of my favorite things to buy at the Dollar Tree are car organizing supplies. I got my pen cup, dental floss, water bottle, and my little clear flip-top boxes for hair accessories. These used to hold cotton swabs, but I took them out and put them in the bathroom because I wanted the box.
Travel Size Toiletries
If you are heading on a trip, I suggest stopping into the DT for some Dollar Tree bargains on travel-size shampoos, conditioners, toothpaste, and an assortment of other smaller-size travel companions. I was in Target the last time I was going on a trip, and they wanted $3 for a little bottle of shampoo. I could have gotten two more dollars and a full-size bottle with four times as many ounces. They also have little clear bottles that you can refill yourself.
Pens, Notebooks, Printer Paper
Office supply products, including staplers, paper clips, and rubber bands, are some of my favorite Dollar Tree items. Printer paper is not always there, but if you can find it, stock up. You won’t find a better deal than at Dollar Tree!
Craft and School Supplies
When I was the Assistant Director of our preschool, I was in charge of a lot of shopping. I can’t tell you the loot I would find at Dollar Tree! Every year, we would get printing notebooks for students there and all the craft supplies we could. Popcycle sticks and pom poms were among our favorite things from Dollar Tree.
Wrapping Paper, Gift Bags, and Bows
These items are in the top five favorites. It always amazes me how much other places want to charge for wrapping paper! Thin paper has some design that people will rip off and throw away. I have seen it for up to ten dollars!! Nope. Not for me. I buy mine at Dollar Tree. And they have the cutest gift bags, too! From the card to the tissue paper, bows, bags, and even boxes. You can find anything you need for gift-giving for a steal at DT!
Flashlights and Headlamps
I have noticed some great flashlights and headlamps lately at the Dollar Tree. These make great gifts for any occasion. They’re perfect for camping!! My husband’s favorite is the LED flashlight. We have more flashlights than a family possibly needs.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, shopping at Dollar Tree is one of my favorite ways to stretch my budget without sacrificing quality. The savings add up from everyday essentials like cleaning supplies and pantry staples to fun seasonal decor and craft supplies.
By knowing what to look for and sticking to the best buys, I can save a significant amount of money each month, which frees up funds for other important things like saving for retirement or paying off debt. Plus, there’s something so satisfying about walking out of the store with a bag full of items that only cost a dollar each!
If you haven’t explored your local Dollar Tree, I encourage you to try it. You might be surprised at what you can find for just a buck. The key is to stay focused on your needs, compare prices, and make sure you’re still getting the best value for your money. With a little planning and creativity, Dollar Tree can be a fantastic resource for living frugally without feeling deprived.
